With the Hockey East regular season coming to a close, New Hampshire senior forward and Congers native Matt Willows did what he does best Friday.
The senior forward scored the go-ahead goal in the second period of a 4-1 win against Merrimack, extending the Wildcats’ winning streak to four games.
New Hampshire (15-17-2) is below .500, but Willows thinks the team has a chance to make some noise in the conference tournament.
“I think we’re peaking at the right time,” Willows said. “We dug ourselves into a hole early in the year, but the postseason is a whole new season, and it’s anyone’s game.”
