It’s going to be a busy and eventful day.
We are waiting for the seedings to be made official and the brackets to be released. Normally, that happens around midday, but we are dealing with a new regime so just keep checking back. I will post everything once Section 1 signs off and sends the information along.
I did update all of the numbers I have in Division I and II.
Pawling’s win yesterday did shake up the Division II bracket. Nobody benefitted more than Somers/North Salem, which played the assumed top seed three times.
There will be a live chat tonight at 8 p.m. so check back for that.
And before the inevitable question comes, no, the Scarsdale game does not figure into the seeding process. The deadline was 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Schedule for February 18
Monroe-Woodbury vs. Scarsdale, 5:10 p.m. at Ice Hutch
CHSHL B Division semifinals
Stepinac vs. St. Francis, 5:25 p.m. at Flushing
Scores from February 17
Pawling 7, Brewster 2
New Rochelle 5, Rivertown 4
Aaron Treiling got Brewster within 2-1 in the second, but Aiden King, Ashley Cody, Noah Clowry and Nick Merendino each scored before the period’s end, helping Pawling run away with a 7-2 win and clinch the top seed in Division II.
