I’m making a list.
We’re going to have a lot of drama when the playoffs get under way in a couple of weeks, especially in Division II.
“There are eight or nine evenly matched teams,” Pearl River forward Kevin Murphy said.
Pelham has to be the favorite going in, but the Pelicans will be seeded in the middle of the pack after they complete that ambitious schedule. Mamaroneck is probably next in line. I’m thinking we’re going to see a lot of tension from the quarterfinals in.
Right now, there are 11 teams with the ability to win at least one postseason game …
Rye, Pearl River, Mount Pleasant and Rye Town/Harrison are all capable of reaching the championship game. Carmel, Hen Hud, Greeley, Pawling, Yorktown, Brewster and Somers/North Salem have enough to pull off an upset.
By the way, did you see where Carmel is today and who the Rams are playing? That’s good experience.
I’ll be at the County Center tonight getting a basketball fix with the Westchester Knicks, so leave a score if you’re out watching, please.
