The Pelicans were hoping to see Beekmantown after losing to the Eagles in a Division 2 quarterfinal last season. Redemption never comes easy.

Glenn Puppa, Nick Chimenti and Mike Lyons also scored for the Gaels. … Peter Miley scored the first three goals of the game for Yorktown in a 7-2 win over Guilderland/Mohonasen. He finished with four goals and two assists. Frank Gavigan added two goals and three assists. … Max Picker and Jackson Schultz each scored a first-period goal for Rye Town/Harrison in a 2-0 win over Mount Pleasant. Joey Livornese made 19 saves in the win. … Kevin Murphy had a hat trick for Pearl River in 5-2 win over Niskayuna/Schenectady.
