Andrew Schauer netted the first of his two goals just 63 seconds in and Will Cullen made it 2-0 at the first intermission. It was close until Schauer ignited a run with a power-play goal with 2:46 to go in the second. Brendan Kleinberger and Vinny Mazzaro each tacked on a goal before the period ended.
Rye 9, Pearl River 2
After struggling to score goals much of the season, Rye has already dumped in 14 goals over the course of two playoff games. Cal Hynson had a hat trick for the Garnets and Connor Hatch scored twice, running his postseason total up to four goals. Max McGee had both Pirates goals.
John Jay 5, Rye Town/Harrison 2
John Tobin had two goals and an assist to lead the Indians, who set a proper tone by dominating the puck and outshooting RTH by a 16-2 margin in the first period. Shawn Smith added a goal and an assist for John Jay. Brian Ketchabaw made 43 saves for the Titans.
Somers/North Salem 5, Greeley 2
The Sabers will be making the first semifinals appearance in the history of the program. Noah Hale finished with a hat trick and Mitch Lanyi added two goals. SNS only took five shots in the first period, but left the ice with a 3-0 lead. Aidan Quaglino made 38 saves for the Sabers.
