Sam Mishkind had five goals and one assist and Scott Jakubowicz added four goals and one assist for the Quakers. Sean Henderson scored for the Bears and finishes with 151 varsity goals, which puts him on the state’s top 10 list.
Pearl River 7, ETB 3
Max McGee had five goals and one assist to lead the Pirates, who left the ice after the first period with a mere 1-0 lead. Pat Burns added one goal and four assists. Henry Lilly had two goals for the Eagles.
Rye 5, Hen Hud 2
Jake Rose and Vinny Perez had the Sailors in front 2-1 in the second, but Connor McGovern tied matters in the final minute of the period. Connor Hatch got the Garnets in front 3-2 with six minutes to play when he flipped in a rebound and Jack O’Brien made it a two-goal advantage with a blast a short time later.
John Jay 5, Carmel 2
Ryan Baumgardt and Tyler Alfonzetti had the Rams up 2-1 in the first period, but John Tobin knotted the score with his second goal. Jack Wertz got the Indians up 3-2 in the second, then stretched the lead with an early third-period goal. Joe Stallone made 43 saves for Carmel.
Somers/North Salem 6, Yorktown 4
Kyle Handszer scored three times, helping the Sabers establish a 6-2 lead. Nick Caleri added two goals, and R.J. LaSpina had three assists. All three players are underclassmen. Tyler Proscia led the Huskers with a pair of goals.
Rye Town/Harrison 10, Byram Hills 2
Max Picker got the Titans off to a good start with a pair of first-period goals. Ian Bass score three times in the second. RTH dominated the puck, finishing with a 44-15 advantage in shots on goal. Rob Lunder and Rob Grande scored for the Bobcats.
Mount Pleasant 2, Pawling 1 OT
Nicholas Barile scored with five minutes to play in regulation to even the score for the Ice Cats. Michael Greenberg netted the game-winner in overtime. James Comerford gave the Tigers an early lead.
