I’m still a little surprised by what I witnessed last night, and the scary thing is, there’s little doubt Suffern can play a lot better.
So can Pelham.
The best game on the schedule today is North Rockland vs. Rye, and I’m heading back to Sport-O-Rama to cover that one. You can follow me @LohudHockey for the updates. I’m not sure what to expect since I haven’t seen either team yet. The Red Raiders are off to a great start at 5-1 and are stingy. The Garnets are easing into the season and are 1-1-1, and we know they can score.
We have the Mother of All Mergers game at WSA, Danbury/Brookfield/Bethel vs. Mount Pleasant, which only sounds like a single entity.
Brian Schiff is going to enjoy his afternoon on the ice with Mamaroneck at Cornell. The school just recently accepted Mamaroneck’s top defender, who is planning to play club hockey next season. Ithaca is 4-2-1 so far. It’s worth noting, the Tigers are without Jason Bienstock for another month due to a collarbone injury.
