John Jay was up early for the ride up north. Suffern has a chance to sleep in. A trip next weekend to Utica is on the line for both teams. After seeing the way things have been playing out in the last month, state titles are literally up for grabs. There are no overwhelming favorites this season.
In other words, dream big.

Lots of one way play last week by key players. We need you on the other end too!
2. Stay on your feet!
No tripping over the blue line this week. Cost us a goal and almost the game.
3. Shoot the puck!
Not every goal has to be pretty. Garbage goal or two puts us over the top.
I think home ice will help Suffern out a lot, I bet Toga come’s out fast and hard early, trying to bury Suffern… if they get through that 1st period unscathed, they will be in really good shape.
I bet this is a close one 4-3 Suffern, maybe in overtime too.

Suffern needs to score 1st end the streak of the Saratoga goalie. Get him rattled and get SOR crazy. But yea Saratoga is gonna come out very fast.

@Suffern85’, I know one top player for sure that was sick and gassed and said he had to conserve energy for spurts. Hopefully he feels better this week and can go all out both ways. I think we had a couple of players under the weather. Your point # 2 is kind of funny. Do you think Suffern players don’t know that? It may be a key to the game, but it’s not something you can eliminate just through effort or good coaching/motivating. And to add to # 3, get bodies in front and screen the goalie when you shoot. We also had a lot of shots blocked last week. Need more D to D passing for a clearer shot.
Apparently Suffern needs a team nurse. I never hear any other teams crying about who has the sniffles, who is tired, who had alot of homework… who had watery diarrhea. It is absurd.

Heisenberg – Root for whomever you want, that’s your prerogative. Where you lose me is when you say that the Mamaroneck and Suffern players despise each other. If you saw the handshake line following the Section 1 championship game, you saw two teams that have a lot of respect for one another. You don’t need to hate your opponent to play hard against them and when the game is over, as bad as you feel not winning, it’s ok to wish them well and yes even root for them through the playoffs.

RF I don’t care who you root for just highlighting your open rooting against Suffern, no big deal. Most of us that are level headed root hard for our team but if they lose it comes down to Sec 1, its a pride thing. I think we root for Sec 1 teams to do well and gain notoriety around the state, most of us. Just a juvenile view that you have to root against your rival against unknown foes. The paragraph you posted about sums it all up for you, but that’s ok I think Suffern can survive without your support.

Monroe Woody put up a great fight according to Massena fans ,especially with such a reduced scheduled. Technical problems made the game impossible to hear. Should be fixed for McQuaid game.
Massena 3 MW 1
Massena up 1 – 0 going into 3rd period, made it 2 – 0 at about 5minutes but MW came back with a nice goal just over a minute later to make it 2 – 1. Raiders got the insurance goal with about 3 left. MW put forth a good effort after the long bus ride and made Massena work for the win. Massena goalie Paquin made some great saves on several breakaways. MW goes with just 2 lines and 3 D spotting a 4th. Great crowd at the Massena arena. Sorry about the streaming problems.
Who are the dopes saying Monroe Woodbury sucked? They were pretty damn good.
Toga was the better team obviously. No miracle last second goals this time for suffern. Tough way to go out in front of their home fans.
Suffern is a young team, they will be back next year, bigger, better and faster, they lost to a very good team, thats the breaks!!

And then there was one. Funny that the last Sec One team standing plays in the house league. I think the Indians get to the finals against a tough WSW team. Suffern is young and will be even better next year. Go Sec One.
Wsw lost. Cba Syracuse beat them. It was 3-1 with a few min left when I left the rink. Cba played like they wanted it More, wsw looked tired, curling, not stops and starts. Cba looked tough to me.
I think John Jay has a good chance to win it all and Wish them and there fans all the best next week which will be the most exciting time in there Hockey career. Just 2 more games to go….Good Luck!J!J
