Helpful tip there isn’t much parking get there early. If u do get there early and over 21 there is a bar upstairs have a drink and strap in we got 4 hrs of great hockey ahead
Hf- Bar closed for the games tomorrow
Why would they close the bar tomorrow???? It was open on Tuesday dying the new Ro WP gme
If anyone is interested go to espnur.com and you can listen to section 3 final btw RFA West Genny. They are playing right now. I will update scores.
Just to update people who maybe didnt see it on the section 1 website. Toga beat Shen 4-0 the other night to win Section 2. The winner btw Suffern/Mamo will play Toga in the regional. Mamo lost to Toga 6-0 while Suffern beat Toga 3-1. In section 6 its Niagara Wheatfield vs Clarence. Section 4 Ithaca gets a bye same with Monroe Woodbury in Section 9 due to being the only teams in there section.
As per Section 1, the bar will be closed during the games. There was plenty of parking last night for a near capacity crowd between JJ and Pelham. Also, with a very busy Public Session going on at the same time.
Wow thats crazy BIA. Like I said they were open Tuesday night during the WP New Ro game. Im surprised BIA didnt try to challenge that since that would bring in revenue since it is a restaurant as well. And thats good that there is plenty of parking. maybe I just didnt notice it when I went up there on tuesday.
Don’t worry guys, I’ll bring enough booze for everyone to share
Yea def. Joke I like Budwesier bottles lol. Bring some…Im getting there for like 12PM
Three Questions:
If you go to both games do you pay twice ($8 & $8)?
Is the restaurant open for food (i get the no booze thing)?
Did they get the extra seating they promised…it wasn’t there earlier in the week?
Thx
Yes Hockey dad thats what it sounds like since they will be clearing the building. If you go to both games itll cost you 16 bucks. and yes they added the extra seating. it was there last night for the JJ- Pelham game…....Btw West Genny is up 1-0 on a PP goal near the end of the 1st period. It is for the section 3 championship
3-0 West Genny in Section 3
3-1 West Genny
3-2 west Genny section 3
Win again in playoffs in New Hampshire and again section 1 players well represented with goals by Bass (2) of RTH, blakely (Scarsdale), Hill (Suffern) and Tiso (Suffern). 2nd game of the day at 6:40pm. Snow expected tonight into tomorrow. Long trip home tonight or tomorrow for Suffern boys. No rest for the weary.
So let me get this straight. When you go to beautiful West Point, you can watch both games comfortably in seats with backs. Plus clean bathrooms, and good food court.
YOu go to BIA, you have to pay 8 dollars for both games. 60% increase. You must leave and get in line again for the second game? Isn’t there a way to pay for both games and getting stamped so you don’t have to leave and re-enter? Not only that, you have cold metal bleachers, you will have to stand the entire game or games because everyone will be standing in front of you. Bathrooms that are not the cleanest… etc.
Please get us back to West Point next year.
*West Point was 10 dollars btw
Yea West Point was 10 bucks BIA is 8 dollars. West Point was out this year due to wrestling going on there tomorrow that is why it was moved.
NJ Suffern players better be in Brewster tomorrow afternoon lol
West Point was 10 bucks to watch both games. This year it is 16 bucks to watch both games.
Just wondering, how much practice do those Suffern Hitmen players miss? I would imagine they miss a bunch of practices so they can make the hit man games and practices. Am I wrong?
I dont know how many practices they miss. It doesnt really matter as long as they show up to the games
True hockey fan,
However, this is one of the reasons why CT, and NJ do not allow kids to play on outside teams during the high school season. They have to pick one team. It must be harder to run practices when line mates and goalies are missing.
Do the NJ Hitmen coaches allow Sufferns players to miss a hitman practice for a Suffern game? I always thought the hitman coaches were really tough when it came to that. It was pretty much all or nothing.
Do you think those kids and the suffern coaches benefit from them playing hit men? I would guess so, since they are practicing and playing against better competition. The hit man prractices are probably a faster paced practice since the kids are all elite players?
Certain NJ schools allow players to play both. Hitmen U16 were missing Bosco, Ramsey and other NJ HS players during conflicts with scheduling this season. There were always enough players to field games due to a large roster.
The hitmen practices r prolly better than the suffern practices. But honestly the kids ha be been playing with each other so long it’s fine. As for the goalie get in the net and stop the puck. There r plenty of kids in NJ that play on both I can guarantee that. The Ramsey goalie when the won the state was playing hitmen and Ramsey so no they don’t have to pick one team. I’m sure I can find plenty of kids that play on 2 teams during hs season in NJ. NJ club teams stop during high school season and s lot of those kids come up to NY to play or if they play hitmen they play both. Like I said idc how or if they practice suffern is a good team and those kids play well together
Wish those rules existed in section 6. Players actually have to commit to their high school team. Makes it tough to compete with sections that allow players to come and go at will.
N-W. Itt is probably balanced a bit by the fact that there are more prep schools and catholics down here to which local school districts lose talented players. But your point is certainly valid…
