I’m not sure how much upset potential exists, but we’ve had quite a few surprises already, so why not believe there will be a couple more. There seems to be quite a bit of parity statewide for a change. There are five games on the slate and we’re covering two of them. I’ll be heading out to watch RyeTown/Harrison play Mahopac. Maybe parents and coaches should rein in the kids before things get out of hand…not blame others after the fact. Too many people say “boys will be boys”——these kids are old enough to know better….too many shenanigans go on in locker rooms…coaches often dont do anything..they let captains make decisions and many suffer….Lets teach, lets be role models, it doesnt help anyone to let kids get away with poor behavior…there must be consequences….there are consequences in the real world…...mommy and daddy aren’t always going be there to bail them out…This is a good lesson for all to learn…even teams and kids not involved

What is the Clowntown coaches thinking?
Karma dictates Hill scores his 6th goal late in the 3rd period in a 10-0 win by suffern over clown town.
Agree with RF (2nd time today) that ctown upset the karma Gods but no Suffern player will score his 6th goal and his team’s 10th goal in the 3rd. They wouldn’t be playing in the 3rd. But karma might allow it to happen in the 2nd although even 9-0 in the 2nd would have the starters out of the game. Did ctown goalie play well or was Kennedy unable to get shots.
I would give CooP-Town a pass on running up the score. It’s playoffs time, the first line was playing well, coach may have wanted them to build some confidence going forward. Maybe send a message to their next opponent. They have been playing up and down since their goalie pulled a ghost. They needed this. I personally would of called the dogs off in the 3rd.
Mamaroneck has a scare tonight.

Why in the world are two LI teams – one from Mineola and the other from Suffolk County – going to play 2 playoffs games in Mt Vernon????
Hard to Belive JFK had a winning record, this team looked like a house league team, Suffern isn’t beating us 8-1 again on Tuesday, were a much improved team, not saying were going to win, but it will be close!!
Mamk won 3-0. They played awful and uninspired. They’ll lose Tuesday if they don’t pick it up.
Thats a great job by North Rockland if they only lost 3-0 to Mamaroneck, North Rockland has to be the most Improved team in section 1, something to really build on for next year!!

Mamk outshot No. Rockland something like 48-15. Goalie #10 was outstanding and kept them in game with 45 saves
Schiff didn’t get hurt. He will play on tuesday. The coaching staff disciplined him for skipping practice last night. Chappy is a tough cookie.

Mamaroneck knew he didn’t need schiff this game. So benching him really does nothing. I doubt they would’ve handled it the same way if they were playing a decent team. Mamaroneck is not known for their discipline.
