EJEPL Playoffs/Finals in New Hampshire the same weekend. The Hitmen players probably get a pass to play Sectionals.
Are those EJEPL Playoffs going to effect any High School Teams?
EJEPL U-16 players with potential conflicts???? Stangarone- Oilers/WP,
Nicholas- AppleCore/Scarsdale, Schell-ApplCr/Scarsdale
Jakubowicz-ApplCr/Greeley, Girardi-ApplCr/Greeley
Malinowski-ApplCr/HenHud, McClean- Applcr/ NewRoc,
Lanyi-ApplCr/SNS, McCoy- ApplCr/ SNS,
B.Ketchabaw-Applcr/RTH,
Modica- Hitmen/Suff, Tiso-Hitmen/Suff, Hill-Hitmen/Suff.
Oilers and Hitmen have clinched. Applecore very close to clinching.
Those players will only have confilcts for the Semis and Finals. All those teams have clinched a spot.
Anyone think RTH can get past mamo if they get to quarters?
@RTH
Long shot for sure but if Ketch stands on his head maybe frustrating Mamo and RTH can put in a few goals….........?
RTH can certainly upset mamk. If mamk does not hit their shots, and Rth goaltending stands strong…. Very scary game for mamaroneck.
Mike Schoenbach alias Cliff Clavin has done a remarkable job designing and keeping up the best hockey web site in NYS and maybe the country. There is a wealth of information on the site about every phase of hockey.
Seeeding and brackets become a breeze with the technology he has developed. Mike and I use to spend many, many hours to get it right and the seeding meeting was exceptionally long. Now all the info is out and about within an hour or so.
We all love HS hockey and between both Mike Gallagher and Mike Schoenbach’s work have made it exciting.
We all want to keep this web site going so I am asking every blogger and every hockey fan to become a booster for the section one web site.
It is not officially connected to Section One and strictly run provately.
To become a booster is very simple, just go to the web site and click on sponsor or booster and follow the simple instructions.wwwsection1hockey.com.
Have your family, friends, relatives, business and place of employment join and of course your favorite team.
Let’s reward the unbelievableamount of time and passion Mike has for the sport.
Mike was my scorer and timer during his HS days at Suffern High as was his Dad. His brother Rob was an excellent goalie for Suffern in the late 80’s.Rob is now a minor official and assigns the minor officials in Rockland.
A true hockey family and Mike’s 3 kids are soon to follow.
Correction Mike is the Minor Official Assigner. Rob runs hockey in Harlem.
White Plains and New Ro better be careful. ETB and Carmel are two teams that can get a win if u are caught napping
Wow, John Orlando lauding the work of a Suffern alumni on the website. Hey John how are you doing with those stats that CN Alumni has been working on for 2 years?

3 Teams ,8 schools , No Playoffs, Combine Record 7-52-1
Whats up with hockey in the river towns and close neighbors??????
@Waffle – No team should take any team lightly! RTH is 10-7-2, it would appear that they are not a shoe-in to win, they still have a game to play. Baby steps, one game at a time.
I hope this post doesn’t come off as me defending myself or patting myself on the back because that’s not what I’m doing. After all, in the words of the late great Gorilla Monsoon, a pat on the back is only a couple feet away from a kick in the pants. But seriously Alumni? Come on. You honestly think the reason he wrote that about me is because I grew up in Suffern? You don’t think if everything was the same with what I do for this league and this sport in this area, but I grew up in New City that he would be just as happy with the site and looking to promote it? If that is honestly what you think, you truly are derranged and I hope postman tracks you down to show you what’s what.
Great story about Rob and Ice Hockey In Harlem. Nice to see people giving back and growing the game.
YEAHHHHH, why doesn’t John Orlando do a better job promoting Sal’s Pizza and Walter’s Hot Dogs in Mamaroneck? Ohhhh yeahhhhh, I know why… It’s because he only promotes Suffern stuff. He never comes on the blog to say what an amazing sicilian slice he had there, or he sat next to Sofia Vergara over a chicken Parm sandwich. I’m with CN, this is a home job….
ridiculous

cliff clavin, No need to defend yourself, what you do is much appreciated. I respect what you do. I’ve known John for over 35 years, and I can’t say the say the same for him.
Cliff Clavin,
, As far far as your threat, hopefully that was just an immature threat. Grow up!
Agree that the Section One Website is the best. Even the upstate bloggers reference its superiority.
From the lower westchester area, John has done nothing but promote develop and caretake section 1 hockey for countless years. He was also a great lax and hockey coach, and is very dedicated to the hockey community. The latest “complaint” is a continued old feud thats years old. The statistic reports are reported by school athletic department. If you have an issue it is bull to take a shot at him in public behind the key board. Its not right
About John Orlando,
speak not of what you know nothing about. In Rockland, where his roots in High School hockey and Lacrosse are from, he has been the figure head, and it has been addressed to him in person. Answer why only the Suffern stat’s are on record under his watch.
Criticizing John Orlando on bracket day
ummmm….awkward
(my voice went up two octaves when I said “awkward”)
and more importantly, not at all entertaining.
hey…how funny is Tosh.0 and Workaholics…eh?
Why I am answering this I don’t know but if you take the time to go on to the web site http://www.nyshshca.org many of Clarkstowns records are there along with Mamaroneck,Rye,New RochelleSuffern if one of Clarktown’s are there many are there. They all were sent in at the same time.
Once again I do not edit what is sent to me I just pass it to the web master. I remember it took me a longtime to get Chis McIndoe’s [ a great Clarkstown North goalie ]records on but I worked closely with his father and finally got it done.
If you are looking at the NYSPHSAA web site that has to be done by the school.
When I put something on the blog I always put my name to it. If records were missed the person who put it on the blog signed his name at least and those will be worked on.
However, at this time of year record’s are the last thing on my mind. I have a great tournament to run period.
Gosh, this is valentines day. Why all the anger. C’mon… group hug.
So what are the facts of this all? I find it hard to believe that someone would block the stats from being public state record. What would be the motive? Where is the proof that he is blocking?
Rocket-
There is no proof because it’s not happening. And to Alumni, your comment was…and I quote…”why only the suffern stats are on record under his watch.” Did you bother to look at the records? I’ll do you one better than John’s post. Here’s a link directly to the portion of the site where they are listed:
http://www.nyshshca.org/records.htm
The top 10 listed in the first list (career points) are all from section 1…THREE OF WHICH ARE FROM NORTH!!!!
What on earth are you and CN Alumni complaining about???
14 schools from Rockland,Westchester and Putnam are on those state record lists.
Rye,Scarsdale,Suffern,White Plains,Pelham,LakelandPanas,Mamaroneck,New Rochelle,Byram Hills,Clarkstown North,Clarks South,North Rockland,JFK/PV, East Ramapo.
Most of those have multiple listings. Clarkstown North has 15 including Coach Ken Warger, Hall of Fame.
Thank you John for helping with the stats and forwarding the records to webmaster. Nice to see those great athletes up there. Sorry to stir u this silly controversy on the blog. Cant wait for the playoffs! My prediction: White Plains gets to another final and this time they win it!
Thanks again!
Dave Lynch
Not sure who “alumni” is but I took my issue to the blog and asked for help. Within 24hrs John Orlando stepped up and helped me out, and now those records are there. No complaints from me Cliff Claven : )
The website is great and I agree with John that we should all pitch and support this great HS hockey resource!
Now lets talk about the playoffs and all the great teams and players that will be trying hoist the Plaque!
CN alumni, Happy that your frustration over the lack of recognition for the North players stats has been rectified.
@Alumni is it PMS or are you a jack-ass?
Bubolo is a stud. Rumors that he has been contacted by BC, ND, Michigan, and UPenn.
Rumors?
