Unless there’s a freak storm in the next few hours, we’re going to get 99.8 percent of the games in.
And that’s a major accomplishment given the issues finding ice time and the problems created by last week’s blizzard. Maybe a little stick noise for the coaches and rinks is due.
I’m not seeing a lot of upset potential today, so there won’t likely be a lot of bracket scrambling.
The seeding meeting is tomorrow at BOCES, and for those who don’t know about the process, a mathematical formula is used to determine rankings, and it clearly doesn’t take into account important variables like strength of schedule. Committee members double check the numbers and work out logistical issues. Every sport in Section 1 uses the same process because we live in a litigious society, the likelihood of a lawsuit if the seedings were subjective is fairly high.

what is SNS projected path as of right now? I would do it myself but i don’t really understand how the formula works (I’m assuming in not alone lol).
SNS probably gets a first round bye and then likely plays someone like L/P or Pac in the quarters and then Mamo in the semis.
A big thank you to all our local rinks to make this happen. It is not an easy task to juggle things around with the snow days and the playoffs.

slacrosse – meh, I bet if you asked every high school senior who has played hockey since they were a mite, they know a kid or two that is / was capable of doing the same. This does not change the fact that this is a misguided action that impacts the entire team rather than just the coach with whom the kid had the issue.

N-W, I agree. That kid needs a serious attitude adjustment. But I’m sure his hipster parents think it’s great that he stood up to an authority figure. Kid will wind up being an ACLU lawyer one day.
I seriously doubt in this day and age…. that anyone on his team got mad at him. Kids are different these days… they are apathetic to a large degree. They probably think of it as a cool story to tell down the road.
Do you really think the coach is upset about 1 goal being put in on purpose? The kid will never play for that team again.Not to mention that the kid’s infamous video shows him in an extremely poor light. Hopefully no team picks him up. That’s a big waste of almost 2k in goalie pads.
If you read the facebook quote in the follow on article and look at the dmens’ reactions closely on video, it seems his teamamtes knew this was coming.

Still some games to be played but as of now LP will play Pac. Yorktown is matched up against Hendrick Hudson. By this time tomorrow seeds will be set.
