The slate has been wiped clean by the snow that is already starting to pile up here in Brewster, and tomorrow is looking iffy, as well. Clarkstown and North Rockland have already postponed. I’ll be checking my email during the day and will update the list if we get any dates for makeups or further cancellations.

Who’s idea was it to schedule league games this late in the season? Mamk has a league game tonight and tomorrow. Both probably postponed. Not smart. Very poor foresight. Get the league games in before February… that would make a lot more sense.

I know people were curious as to who will finish where. Assuming that Rye, Pelham, and Greeley win their remaining games other than the Rye-Pelham game and don’t schedule any additional games…

The loser of the Rye/Pelgam game will finish 4th

So for all of you curious out there…Rye and Pelham end up on opposite sides of the bracket this year.

Mike, just watched a replay of your chat. I think white plains driftet had the question of the year. Rye better start getting their heads into and play better in EVERY remaining game, otherwise it won’t matter which side of the bracket they’re on vs Pelham.
Ta-Da…. we all have heated driveways in Larchmont/Mamaroneck…. we just can’t stop winning.
BTW, that RTH beating Rye should be a bigger story. That to me is the biggest upset all year so far. Rye is crashing big time. Without Benicasa, Rye is in trouble. Everyone else is getting healthier… Rye is not. Bad timing.
Who knows though. The new season is right around the corner.

How come the Greeley’s stats for the Yorktown game didn’t count on the top (goals,points,assists for the year) even though they are on the bottom of the page?

The game counts in seeding equation, RCDS has friends status, which means it’s considered a comparable program to those in Section 1 outside of recruiting.

No. 20 is just the max amount of regular season games you can play.
but if your doing the seeding, and one team has played 20 games and the other has played 18, besides the fact that the team who has played 20 games has more opportunity for wins, is the team with 18 at a disadvantage, when they add up the points is it cumulative, or is it an average, so you dont get an advantage by playing more games?

The index is an average. Not negatively affected by playing 18
Pelham only suffers by not having played and (and beaten) good teams.
If they play 18 and have a higher index, they get the higher seed.

Also, sometimes I have other things going on where I am not checking the blog every 30 minutes on a rare Friday night that I get to spend with my wife & kids instead of everyone else’s kids at the rink.
