This guy is like Joe Cocker with a resume. He’s got the voice. He’s got the ability to cover anything. But he’s also got his own hall-of-fame catalog. And if you have a minute, search for his National Anthem performance at the NBA Finals in Chicago. I was there, it was so good they asked him back to reprise it before the next game.

The best thing about the 12-12-12 concert was Roger Waters performance of songs from “The Wall”. I’ve never seen Pink Floyd live although they rank among some of my favorite albums. Waters actually sounded, 30 plus years later, like the voice I heard on all those albums.
His performance with Eddie Vedder on “Comfortably Numb” was easily the nights highlight.
As for the rest of the performers Bruce and Bob Jovi were solid, but the rest of the old english rockers were just painful to watch. The Who, Stones, Paul McCartney…ugh..Las Vegas lounges await you…
An aside on Kanye West… certainly not my style/genre of performer…but i couldn’t understand the audience of AARP members and senior citizens booing the only performer under age 30! For the good cause this was for, polite applause at least for the only performer my 2 teenagers actually cared about.
I thought the Who and The Stones were great.
Never much of an Eddy Vedder guy, or Pearl Jam. I think they are good, not great. I like some of the popular stuff. This version of No Surrender put me to sleep.
At least show the kids the actual singer of that song. Here is a good live version from Bruce.
