I’m betting we aren’t going to have to worry about fog this week, it feels like winter. Finally. I’m already scrambling to find my extreme weather gear so I don’t go numb at Ebersole tomorrow.
We’re easing into the home stretch with a couple of games today.
Eastchester/Tuckahoe/Bronxville is back under the radar after making a Section 1 title run a year ago. There are just three seniors on the roster, but check out the schedule the Eagles are playing. It’s pretty good for a stay-at-home program, and you have t wonder if ETB might catch a good team napping before the season’s over. New Rochelle had had a few lapses, but always seems to catch itself before taking a bad loss.
North Rockland and Nyack/Tappan Zee should be a competitive game across the river. I have to believe a win upstate did the Red Raiders a lot of good.

ETB is the type of team new ro feasts on. This will be a blowout, 10-2. Nyack/tz will beat north rockland 5-4.
I’m still bumming that there was no NHL winter classic game on New Year’s Day. I can’t get into college football games that I have no rooting interest. Praying for NHL hockey to come back in a few weeks.

No way is tonight going to be a blowout. ETB has better talent, and equitable depth. I see this as a potential OT thriller (or at least hoping for one). Prediction: New Ro-5, ETB-5

game was closer than the final score. new ro will have trouble with better teams. very soft in d zone and too many turnovers in d and neutral zone
Just read the live chat from last night. Burns from Scarsdale frequently left off the best D list. He is solid, and is on the ice most of the game. Will be the key to the Raiders second half if they are to have a chance at getting to West Point.
Etb lost we are a down team this year, new ro is not the team of last year will get smoked by the top teams
obviously New ro wasnt the same. they had one of there top 6 forwards sick and another forward hurt. Dont forget Kenny McLean who has been out from the 2nd game of the season.

Only since 12 is out. he will be back though. New Ro’s defense has been playing well and has given up less than 3 goals a game which will be good because of theoir goal scorers.
