It’s another lull before a busy weekend, maybe we should begin hyping the Mamaroneck-Mahopac game. Got a prediction? I’m thinking we could see a couple of goals scored in this one. And we know the Indians will have a full complement of maniacs in the stands, will Mamaroneck travel and balance out the bleachers?
Talk amongst yourselves, I’ve got some golf stories to finish.

About last night … The Legends are determined to make the playoffs and they are not a long shot. Kevin Halpin is a standout, and he’s got help. Adam Pesce is very strong in goal. Noah Dorfman is a freshman to keep an eye on. We might be seeing Matt Inglis go from goalie to forward in order to give the Legends more firepower, and Brett Enax only has to serve two more games and then he’ll be on the ice. This group isn’t going to blow anyone out, so they have to play smarter to pull of some upsets. … I liked what Stephen Varmon did in goal, stopping 30 shots, and the Ice Hawks do play a scrappy brand of defense. Nick Lede and Matt Kowalchuk were busy all evening. NTZ does need to curtail the penalties, though. Up front, there is nobody who you know going in will score a couple of goals. There are enough guys with good skills and skates, like Brian Bermingham, to keep pressure on. The Ice Hawks will struggle to score until everybody is crashing in hard, looking to make something happen.
