I’m doing it again.
We’re not going back to the 80s anymore, I promise, because my iPod is filled with so much new music. Once the season gets running, I might let frequent bloggers send me their favorite songs and we can post them here, too, and then ridicule each other.
On rare occasions, I let the kids pick the radio stations, and the first time I heard this one I was hooked. They call this Indie Pop, whatever that means. These guys provided a great opportunity for me to introduce the kids to the Talking Heads. You can hear some influence here.

Good song. I’ve never heard it either.
I’m not hearing the Talking Heads influence though. Was happy to find many of their (Talking Heads) albums on my sons iPod, which I downloaded to replace my lost or destroyed cassette recordings from many years ago.
I’ll be looking forward to the bloggers video/song picks…and all the “ridicule” too.
I caught this video again on VH1 early Sunday morning. I was still trying to study the Talking Heads influence but still don’t hear it.
Rather, I’m very reminded of the 80’s band Styx.
“Babe”, “Come Sail Away”, “Mr. Roboto”....some pretty good pop songs for the time.
Styx might be the better comparison, but I’m also hearing ‘Road to Nowhere’ melody and rhythm. I think I have ‘Come Sail Away’ on a 45 in my office closet, my favorite, though, is ‘Suite Madame Blue’.
