Here’s a little breaking news for you … Elizabeth Wulf this afternoon became the first hockey player in RCDS history to score 100 goals, and then she kept on going. The Larchmont resident scored five times against Holton Arms of Washington, D.C. She hit the century mark with the third goal of the day.
Nicole Aronson had two assists for the Wildcats while Cody Nilsen, Devon Kraus, and Jaime Simensky set Wulf up once. Rebecca Mendelsohn made 29 saves in the 5-1 victory.
RCDS girls hockey coach Gil Castagna cannot recall another hockey player at RCDS with more than 50 goals.
Here’s the wild part of this story is Wulf is just a sophomore, and she’s in her fourth varsity season. She had 14 goals as a seventh-grader, 26 as an eighth-grader, and 26 as a freshman.
“It was just a regular goal,” Wulf said. “I guess it was more special because it was my 100th. (The ceremony) was kind of embarrassing. I felt bad for the other team, but we took a few pictures and that was it.”

Congrats to Liz.
MIKE—QUESTION
To quickly check if there are any new posts on a thread topic without having to open the thread to check, on the side panel where you list “Other recent entries”, could you also list part of the first sentence from the last couple of posts on the “entry”/”topic”? Farly typical on other blogs and helps the reader. thx
Good idea, but I have to follow a style that all Gannett blogs follow.
You go girl!!!!
Great job! Keep it up!
Larchmont resident…..she could be playing for Chap.
Congratulations young lady…...quite an accomplishment.
Congrats Liz keep it up you have the drive to be the best Good Luck Coach Chap
Hit the auto focus button next time. She is a lovely young woman and a nicer photo would have been better!
Maybe that was done on purpose to show that she is fast and whizzes by everyone else in her league (hence the reason why she has 100 career goals midway through her sophomore year). She skates so fast that she is a blur to any defenseman on the ice (or is it defensewoman in a girls’ league?).
Played on empires last year as freshman – should be in SI’s faces in crowd before HS career is over
