I’m not sure what to make of the North Rockland win, do we need to keep an eye on the Red Raiders? Joe Pane only let one goal in during the Red and Black Tournament. Suffern keeps on building momentum, which no doubt is going to come in handy next week. Is playing close good enough for Lakeland/Panas at this point?

Upset Special : Pelham is on a high after winning upstate and coming real close in 2nd game . They have the chemistry and will upset Suffern next week . Pelham 7 Suffern 1.

Pelham is on a high??? They have a 2-4-1 record and just lost to a Niskyuna team that is mediocre at best. Geez I’d hate to see if they were on a downer. Anyway when Suffern and Pelham play it’s usually a good game and I don’t anticipate anything different. The hard cold facts are that Pelham is not as good as last years team and just not as good as Suffern this year. Pelicans will certainly play with emotion..this is a big game for them. I like Suffern

Suffern will shut out a Pelham team that doesn’t have the firepower to break thru a Mountie D system. Pelham’s goalie and D sceme are solid, so the score will be saomethin like 4-0.
I don’t see pelham winning 7-1 but I like their chances, their record does not show how good they really are..I would not be surprised to see pelham pull out a big W in a tight, hard fought game.

Pelham will have an uphill battle all the way with Suffern. Pelham is a strong big game team but Suffern has the horses against anyone this year. Pelham is anchored by young under class athletes its going to be a hard road
Yes, it will be an uphill battle, but Pelham is coming together nicely. Good chemistry, solid defense and playing smarter every game. A very young team. What do you expect after graduating 11 seniors and losing their strongest two defensemen to prep schools? Of course they are not the team they were last year. If Pelham plays as well as they played Mamo and Burnt Hills, they will hold their own. If they play hard 100% of the game, 100% of their shifts, they will do great.
dont like rye’s 2+ week game layoff from 12/23 (mamo) until 1/8 (For Prep)—1 week layoff in football after saunders forfeit didn’t help them in football and this not ideal again.
I have to laugh at the story in JN that Suffern is playing 3 lines 5 D and 2 goalies. the 3 lines will be a line and a half soon and the 5 D will 3 maybe 4 and the 2 goalies will most certainly be 1 and it wont be the kid who has grown up in the so called Suffern family and put in his 10 yrs plus in the program.all these moves early in the season was Schellings way to keep some moms and dads happy,but that will all change the father the season goes on , no matter how much this team wins.but this is just the way it always is at Suffern.no matter what the Schelling backers say.
nasty d, you obviously dont know suffern this year because i guarantee you they will play 3 lines all year and the defense will probaly be cut down to 4 and the goalie situation is already solved. suffern is good end of story and im looking forward to the upcoming week for them. pelham ithaca and mamaroneck. dont think the suffern boys arent pumped for these games. i say suffern improves to 10-1 after next week
So is the transfer goalie going to start for Suffern? I really doubt that sufferns third line will get much time vs mamk. Mamk will run 3 forward lines against everyone and the fourth line will see action too. I will be shocked if it is not another 1 goal game. It might just come down to the new goalies on both teams

this is not this yr this is every yr,believe me you will see the lines dwindle down and the goalie stay the same(transfer) except in games vs teams like PR where everyone will get time even the 8th grade and freshman goalie who were promised playing time will get time.Mom and dad didnt realize thats the only playing time that they will get for a while.I forgot that everyone involved with this team thinks Schelling is the next coming.talk to me when your kid is a senior and has had 5 shifts in his HS career.You will change your mind about this program.
ok you say that but im guaranteeing you that suffern plays three lines throughout the season. they may not play as much as the first two lines but they will see a good amount of time
Everyone is an expert on Suffern Hockey…” I guarantee their lines will dwindle to two”...Schelling will do this and Schelling will keep mom and dad happy” Obviously outsiders who know only what they read on blogs. Schelling will be little swayed by what mom and dad say or want. The talk about Suff taking talent from other schools…their goalie Stark is a SOPHOMORE transfer..an unestablished goalie!!! He didn’t start at St.Joe’s. Bloggers would have you believe they stole a star from another program. He may turn into a star but to make it sound as if Suff is raiding other schools is ludicrous. I believe he did play for the Ramapo Saints…that would make him a local kid..it’s a non story to most..not for those jealous of Suff success
