We’re going to find out this week if Lakeland/Panas deserves to be sitting that high. The Rebels are in the Suffern Tournament and will get two quality opponents. Don’t forget, as of last week they were down one Belger after Nick suffered a thumb injury.

Mike, how are you coming up with YOUR rankings?
I “get” the coaches poll, but you ranked the top 8 teams in Div I and II. Have you seen all 16 teams? If not, how can you justify the rankings?
You decided that KPV was the 3rd best team in Div II and Sleepy is the 7th? Not a fan of either team, but I have seen both play against my team. I just can’t imagine you’ve seen them both play.
“No Way”, I believe this was done by the coaches voting and not my Mike. Mike, can you let us know how many coached actually did vote?
I would love to know which coaches did not vote mamk #1. Two time section champs, undefeated so far this year, and ranked 3rd in the state in the ny state poll. Suffern ranked 6 th? They have a loss already ( albeit to a tough opponent).
Makes me think there is some bias. If mamk loses to suffern then they should flip. Until then mamk is #1.

The power rankings (the funny ones underneeth) are all Mike’s “ideas”.
The poll is done by the coaches, and you can tell how many voted each week by adding up the first-place votes in parentheses. The rankings I do, and they are more a reflection of how a team is doing in the standings than anything else, but I also factor in things I hear and see. They shake out as the season goes along, we’re still early.

Hey clarkstown north, r u gonna take that coaches ranking. You should print it out and put it in the locker room and use it as motivation to win ans show the section one coaches that u r a force to be reckoned with!!!!!
Pelham gets that ranking based on past reputation, and also playing very good teams tough.
North has played Massena but got beat 6-0. They lost close one to MW but have played all average to weak teams
