Ian Fleming scored twice in the third period as Brewster defeated Yorktown 4-3 in a Division II quarterfinal at Brewster Ice Arena.
The fourth-seeded Bears advance to the semifinals for the first time in seven years, where they will face the winner of tonight’s Rye-Pawling game.
Fleming scored with 8:00 minutes left to break a 2-2 tie, and then again with 1:20 left to make it 4-2. Michael Bonitatibus brought No. 5 Yorktown within 4-3 with 55 seconds to play with a power-play goal.
Yorktown had defeated Brewster in double overtime in last year’s quarterfinals.
